2021 China Red Cross First Aid Training Organized by Youth Volunteers Association of the SCE Successfully Held

2021 China Red Cross first aid training organized by Youth Volunteers Association of the School of Civil Engineering (SCE) was successfully held at X4153 of No. 4 Teaching Building on March 27, 2021. This training was lectured by two instructors from Chengdu Red Cross, co-hosted by the Yansheng Volunteer Service Team of SCE, and recorded by the Media Center.

The purpose of this training is to enable every volunteer participating in the training to master the basic knowledge and methods of first aid, and to promote the Red Cross spirit of “humanity, fraternity, and dedication”. Participants in the training included members from Youth Volunteers Association of SCE and young volunteers from SCE.

At the beginning, the two instructors from Chengdu Red Cross gave a lecture. They elaborated a variety of first aid knowledge and methods to all participants. And the central part is about cardiopulmonary resuscitation and wound dressing. After the lecture, volunteers had a face-to-face practice about implementation of first aid methods and wound dressing with the two instructors.

After two-day training, the Chengdu Red Cross conducted an online first aid test and offline first aid methods. Finally, the volunteers who passed the assessment achieved excellent results and became a qualified first-aider.

A group of first-aiders with professional knowledge were developed to contribute to the safety and stability of society through this training. We believe that there will be first-aiders, in an emergency, taking up the responsibility, contributing love, saving others, and promoting the Red Cross spirit of “humanity, fraternity, and dedication”.
