CECS Starts Compiling the Standards ofTechnical Specifications for Dry Connected Prefabricated Multi-storey BuildingsandTechnical Specifications for Anti-falling Nets of High-rise Buildings, and the First Working Conference is Held Successfully

China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization (CECS) started compiling the Standards ofTechnical Specifications for Dry Connected Prefabricated Multi-storey BuildingsandTechnical Specifications for Anti-falling Nets of High-rise Buildings, and the first working conference was held successfully in the ancient city of Xi’an on April 24, 2021. The participants included more than 50 experts from CECS, universities, research institutes, enterprises of design, construction, production as well as other departments.

At the beginning of the meeting for the two standards, Fu Yanqing, Senior Engineer of Committee of Structure Welding, CECS, the standard centralized management department, made a speech on behalf of CECS, expressed his hope for the compiling work and raised some requirements for compiling as well. The meeting was hosted by Gao Zhihong, Vice President and Chief Engineer of Urban Construction Institute of China Railway First Survey and Design Institute Group Co., Ltd., and Professor Yu Zhixiang, Dean of the Department of Architectural Engineering, School of Civil Engineering (SCE), Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU). The experts at the meeting put forward plenty of constructive opinions on compiling the standards, and they showed great determination of compiling high-level standards.

Technical Specifications for Dry Connected Prefabricated Multi-storey Buildingswas edited by China Railway First Survey and Design Institute Group Co., Ltd. and SWJTU, coedited by Central Research Institute of Building and Construction Co., Ltd. MCC Group, Chongqing University, Chang’an University, CSIC International Engineering Co., Ltd. and Huagou Technology and other departments, focusing on the development of prefabricated buildings and being committed to solving technical difficulties in prefabricated industries. This specification would serve as the technical support for prefabricated buildings and lead the development and progress of this industry in the future.

Technical Specifications for Anti-falling Nets of High-rise Buildingswas edited by SWJTU and CSIC International Engineering Co., Ltd., coedited by China Railway First Survey and Design Institute Group Co., Ltd., Central Research Institute of Building and Construction Co., Ltd. MCC Group, China Construction Eighth Engineering Division Corp., Ltd., West China Engineering Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. and Huagou Technology, focusing on the potential risks of falling objects from high altitudes in cities during the construction period and thereafter, and being committed to integrating the intelligent monitoring of falling objects from high altitudes and the new protective structure technology, so as to optimize public safety protection in cities.
